That made this game about Saban. You have put LSU in a no win situtation. If we beat Bama then We beat them with Sabans players. And then next year when we play them in TS if we have a off game then that just builds to the Saban make believe legend. If we lose then Saban is better then Miles will ever be. So pat yourselves on the backs, toast a beer with each other and sit back and watch the monster you have all created! JOB WELL DONE!
Dude. Chill. Who Cares? Honestly, WHEN LSU beats Bama, the media will spend 69 seconds on this topic then focus on Ohio State and their final two games against Illinois and Michigan. :geaux:
Sorry my friend, I'm one of 'em. I want to beat Saban as bad as beating bama- and if we don't, what's embolded will be a legit question, imo. It would have been raised either way though- hyped up or not. Reason: We outclass them talent-wise and, should we lose, it could very well be because of getting out-coached. I'm nervous and worried but keep reminding myself that we're the better team and hope the anxiety/hype leading up to this game turns out to be like the VT game. I've been very satisfied and happy with Miles. The one, LAST question in my mind about Miles gets answered TODAY. On the road, big game........I believe we could look back at this game and see it will be a turning point in his career. If we win, we're really in great shape for the SECCG and the NC game.......lose and we can still have a very good season but no Championship(s)......again.
This would happen regardless, the media always distorts things and hypes all kinds of things from politics to sports etc. Nick Saban himself also seems to have done this and is responsible by his comments and actions over the last year or so. The only time people other than LSU fans will notice Miles is when he wins with his recruits. You and others may not like it but this is the world we live in. This is only the beginning of a story not the end. If Saban succeeds at Bama he will come out on top, same for Les at LSU. It could also become a draw of sorts. Time will tell but you can't blame anybody for the media's hype of this game. This is what the media lives for. When was the last time an LSU event had an hour pregame show on CBS? Keep in mind both schools could actually come out on top by the hype of the stories, free advertisement for future recruits!
I understand all of that, HOWEVER we dont have to support this with all the shirts and the DOZENS of threads about this subject.
