    First the women's basketball team makes it to the final four for the first time ever, and is one possession away from the championship game.

    Now the softball team gets within 7 outs of getting to the championship game as well.

    What a great season. LSU has to be considered having the most successful combined teams of softball/basketball in the nation this year.

    This is a softball program that is only 8 years old. What an amazing and quick ride up to the top of the heap.
