almost 300 yards rushing in 2 games

Did Saban blow it by picking the wrong Auburn running back?

Caddilac's success is no surprise. He was pure quality in college, and he was the starter selected by the coaches. Brown is pure quality also.

It is too early to tell if Saban blew it, I think we need to see another 6 games. What is the quality of the O lines? If Tampa is much more solid, and I suspect they are, just 2 years removed from a super bowl win, Cadillac's success may be easy to explain. It may take Miami a couple of years to get an equal O line in front of Brown.

Well, recent success aside, I thought that Caddililac was the best player overall and should have benn picked at least second overall. Thats not a knock on RB, but there was a reason that Caddy was the one who got all of the attention. Yes, i think that Saban dropped the ball, but I do believe that Ronnie Brown will be good in his own right, just not as good as Caddilac.

Ronnie Brown was better at Auburn.....so no, I don't think Saban dropped the ball.

Depends on what you define as "better."

I always said that Brown would end up being the better back in the NFL, and Caddy's start has surprised me a bit. He has a strong work ethic and is a competitor, but I did not expect to see this success this quick.

Another thing to take into account is the competition's defense.

    The math is simple here guys... TB O-line > Miami O-line = C. Williams > R. Brown...

And CW has been with TB through their entire camp practicing, RB held out and hasn't been with his team for nearly as long. I expect both of them to be very good NFL backs. RB will come around when he gets his balance within the team. Also, TB is a more balanced O than Miami...if the Dolphins had CLayton blocking and catching down the field like TB does, he'd have a few more holes :D

Tampa's Oline isnt very good, and neither is Miami's.

Tampa has played Minnesota who has a sick defensive line, and buffalo who was number 2 in overall defense last year, and completely shut down DD last week. So Caddy has gone against 2 very good units. Brown has went against Denver, which has a crappy dline, and the jets who are good but not great.

I have said all along i thought caddy was the best of the 3. Size, speed, and strength can make you a great college player. But you need more than that to be a super star back in the nfl. You have to have 'it'. Vision, toughness, competitive desire. Whatever 'it' is, caddy has it. I'm not saying benson and brown won't be great, but barring injury i have no doubt caddy is going to be great
