This Saturday we're headed to New Orleans to go up against Tulane in a semi-annual sort of deal that has been dominated as of late by the Greenies. This is the first time since '02 that we really have a shot at doing something against them, as our men's 4 is really on a roll. They just finished third in their division at the nationwide "Heart of Texas" Regatta in Austin and are looking to use that momentum to swing them past a lagging Tulane. As soon as I can see straight (I've been up all night studying econ) I'll post directions for those in the New Orleans area looking for something to do tomorrow. I know it's in the canals by City Park and right near Memorial Stadium. The cox's meeting is scheduled for 9:30 AM, with races to follow immediately after that. Edit is acting up. Also, for a peek at last year's event, here's some pictures taken by a national rowing site documenting the return of crew after Katrina: http://www.row2k.com/gallery/galler...bel=LSU, UTC at Tulane, March 11, 2006&hi=yes Some personal favorites: It's not a good thing he looks like that, but it sure looks tight. Our girls got tired.
We absolutely humilated them this year, or at least as long as I was there- I had to get back to BR for a family thing. I took a bunch of pics, will be posting them soon over on the crew website: www.lsucrew.com. Yeah, 2030.
