I am a recent transplant from Baton Rouge to Dallas. I am looking for a good place to watch my Tigers this weekend. Can anyone please help?
Several Options my fellow DFW prisoner... 1. Ivy's Bayou Bistro on 75 - LSU place and LSU fans (No Big 12 crap with LSU on a small TV in the corner with no sound) 2. Doodies 3. Nates (But it is usually packed with your North Dallas Types) 4. Gators in Euless Ivy's is probably your best bet... He is a Tiger fan and has LSU stuff all over the walls..
Do they still have the LSU alumi party at Ben's Half Yard house on Greenville? That is where the majority of LSU fans used to go (and I used to go before I got my season tickets). You may want to call the DFW LSU Alumi association or just call Ben's. Hint... Get there EARLY. You may be better off going to the Fox and Hound.
Bens is the official LSU place so to speak. Fox and Hound is full of those Dallas types. You know the Cocain and Boobjob crowd... Its a beating. Plus LSU will be on mute or something. Stick with known LSU friendly places. I have been trapped here for 10 years. trust me on this. Stray to the Dallas places and you are submerse youself in a sea of jerkoffs and UT fans. (Usually the same)
So in your opinions which of these should I check out. I dont want to be stuck with a bunch of blow and show type people!!!!
I live in Ft. Worth, and the Fox and Hound downtown is a pretty decent place. I can usually convince them to put it on a t.v. in a good spot with relatively few distractions. Now, I have ESPN gameplan, so I try not to leave the comfort of my couch. Except for bourbon and gumbo.
