Russell will be a good talent for us, but for now, it is just going to be tough. :(

Do you remember how the Ole Miss game started last year? We'll be fine. I hope..

What we need is the OL to block someone so we can at least threaten Florida with a run or two. Both lines are hurting big time.

Look fellas, I am relaxed, ok. Look where we are at right now. I said that he will be a very good talent for us, just not right now. This is a work in progress. He's a project. He will develop. Reps is what he needs and he will get planty of them. I am glad he is getting them. He is our future and Randall wasn't going to lead us to the SECCG this year, I don't think. I am not unhappy, but it is hard watching this. It's all a part of college football.

On the +, I like Russell's mobility and his arm. He is just young. Good things come to those who wait. Don't shoot the messenger.

If Russell were to be the future of the team, he HAS got to learn the playbook better, not miss assignments, and be able to read the defence. Hope he continues to grow and learn.

Well now that the game is over, I can say that my suspicions were confirmed at least for tonight and at least with JR. I think he'll be a good QB, though. Randall had a great night. Big win for the team. I wrote the post when we were down 0-7 and just didn't like what I was seeing. Too many times, it looked like the O was holding us back this year. I guess it was hard for me to convey my thoughts on this. We still have a big old ? at this position overall, but we know that the future is JR. There is no doubt about that. Coming into this game, I was frustrated with the O when it came to playing the better teams. That's all. I saw the problem as mostly being at the QB position. I don't think my assessment was all that wrong on that point.

Cheers to the victory tonight! :lsug:

Come on guys, Russell is young. It's not like he's a 5th year senior making these mistakes, HE'S A FRESHMAN! Some of you sound as though Russell should be putting up Heisman numbers right now. Give him time to work out the kinks, he'll be a star.
