I wonder if some Democratic bigwigs miscalculated? Bradley, Gore, Harkin? That's some heavy machinery he lined up prior to Iowa.
I went to the Iowa caucuses in 1988. More of a life experience type thing than for political reasons.
What happens is some fat postman stands up and babbles for awhile about a bunch of nothing.
People get tired of it after awhile.
Then a community leader, well spoken type, usually a doctor, lawyer, accountant stands up and people start to listen again.
I suspect that is what happened this year with Kerry and to a degree Edwards versus Dean.
Dean had the fat postmaster up there spewing venom while peoples eyes glazed over.
Kerry and Edwards had the well thought of community leaders in their camp and when they gave the speech about electability, it rang with the commoners.
Just my guess. But based on what I saw in 1988.

He sounded like he was giving a victory speech.

He must have won the AP poll.

I wonder who will be left standing after New Hampshire.
I think this is who the Presidential candidates would pick as their running mate.
    John Kerry-John Edwards
    John Edwards-John Kerry
    Howard Dean-Bob Graham
    Wesley Clark-Hillary Clinton

this sounded, actually, like a Ric Flair impression. The yeah at the end might as well been a WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. this guy is off his rocker BIG TIME. He may nuke Canada if we give him office, then we will lose access to all that good beer they have up there. I am a registered Democrat, but I will not vote fro him if he is my choice. hope there are some good "other" oarty candidates this year..........................

    Dean is the people's candidate:shock:

Actually, thats what we need a president with a temper!

Did you hear it when he told that reporter to get a life yesterday?

I told my wife 2 months ago that George Bush will be re-elected
just by the Dems attacking each other.

George Bush doesn't have to do anything but watch the Dems
attack one another and he wins!

Does anybody here feel safe with a Democrat in charge of the
military and the war on terror?
