    5th in the nation in points allowed.

    I think we finished in the top 7 or 8 last season.

    Chavis is certainly earning his paycheck.

    So close to greatness. SO CLOSE.
    Just need a few key pieces. Starting with consistent leadership and production at QB.

    And this record has been compiled against reasonably good competition. 2 teams were top 25 when we played. No ULM in there.

    It remains to be seen how we stack up after we play Fla., Auburn, Bama, and Arky.

    An interesting note...

    The best offensive team we have faced, West Virginia, was held to 270 yards below their season average (which was 446 yards/game) when they played us.

    The best offensive team Alabama faced, Arkansas, put up 421 yards on them, which was only 62 yards below their average. Arkansas put up 499 on ULM.

    Those are the total offensive rankings as of games played to date.
    I think our d is good but how good I'm not sure. I think the last half of the season we will find out a lot more about the d.
