We already knew this, but College Football News (Scout) released its 2011 Freshman and Sophomore All-Defense and Special Teams. LSU had:

1 freshman first team
2 freshman honorable mention
5 sophomore first team
3 sophomore honorable mention

So out of the 13 total defensive / special team positions (including punter and kicker), LSU had 11 freshman / sophomores on their list. Amazing!
