WTF? What does he mean Recipe for Disaster: Les Miles gets his wish and plays USC in the BCS title game. Is he saying that we would lose before we have even played our first game of the season? These sports writers really get under my skin sometimes. These so called experts state their opinion and get paid for it. When can I write an opinionated column and get paid for it?:angryfire

I can see him now...typing that article, sitting back, laughing at himself saying, "Ooooh, that's funny."

I've never cared for a thing he's penned, always been able to point out flaw after flaw in his opinions.

It's one thing to report on sports, another to editorialize. Will we see the day they understand the difference?

Uhhhh . . . how many teams have a Parade All-American for a backup quarterback. Third year in the program with only one game less starting experience than Flynn. Any fan in the country can tell you the name of LSU's backup Quarterback. Who backs up Cox? or Wilson? or Tebow?

    Damned if I know.

I don't know how many total but I know of at least one. :)

After JDB, Mark Sanchez, Parade Player of the Year, and then Aaron Corp, Parade All American, and Mitch Mustain, Garorade, USA Today and Parade Magazine National Player of the Year.

I also have no idea who the backups are for Cox, Wilson, or Tebow.

    Cox? No clue. Where's Deceks?

Tebow? Great question. Meyer has a habit of using two QB's in his system. Add to that the sore shoulder Tebow is dealing with right now (off season workouts) and we'll have a story line there.

Wilson? Greg McElroy. I've a lot of faith in him. It's not as much based on what he's done on the field (as in practice) but the kind of head he has on his shoulders. Right after he signed I received an email from him asking about different Alumni I knew in the business community that he could establish contact with in order to start lining up work references/internships when his collegiate career begins to end. How many kids do you know that think that far ahead before they end up in college?

FWIW, he's almost Wilson cloned...size, speed, ability, etc.

Parade All-American? Don't know. Don't really care. I do know he was the Texas Offensive player of the year for his high school division. A statement in itself considering 5A in TX

    2. LSU: Buy, trade or steal for quarterback depth. If Matt Flynn goes down, the Tigers could be in big trouble.

we should take this as a great sign if this is dodd's take on the worst case scenario.

i think it would be far worse to lose black or jackson or doucet

We'll be good enough at the QB position. With RP and JL being on the roster, we have two capable backs to get the ball in play. With our defense, we could still contend for the SECC with no Flynn. Worst thing of all, as we know, is our o-line. It's getting very thin very quickly.

It's not that thin, just lacking in experience. But that happens.
