Lots of smoke. I'm hearing that Saints may sign him soon. It's been message board fodder for a couple of months, but I am hearing that it very well may happen.....and soon.

    What do y'all think?

He and Mark a Ingram can watch each other rack up a combined 700 yards and 3 total touchdowns. What the hell are they thinking?

Sproles 2.0 is what they are thinking. Whether or not that pans out is another thing.

Right, I think he'll be better in the Saints offense then he was in the Chiefs. IF we sign him. But according to NFL Network, multiple teams are interested, so I'm not sure we'll be able to afford him or get him for less than what we were paying Sproles.

    Dexter just signed with Titans

    /thread.

The Panthers, Falcons and Bucs all just breathed a collective sigh of relief.

I think sproles ends up staying if a trade doesn't go down.

Question is, will DS be willing to take a pay cut. They're going to have to take some money from him, and Bunkley, and maybe even Brees, to make this all work. I don't see how PT stays on the roster at all.

Sproles will be released is a trade doesn't happen. However, a lot of teams are interested so the Saints will get something for him even if it's no more than a 7th round draft pick.

I don't think the Saints will be replacing that role, either. I think they're going more towards the bell-cow runningback who has hands. They will still rotate guys to keep their legs fresh and to insure the offense against player injury, but I think the offense next season will look more like what we saw versus Philly and less like what we have been used to in the recent past. This might be the last time you see Drew throw for 5,000 yards.

I think we missed a great opportunity with McCluster. Would have solved both problems of a person in space catching the ball and punt returns. And he was cheap at $4 million a year and only 25 years old.
