Just got back from three days in the "Kingdoms" and what moved me the most was the number of people wearing their stripes. It was awesome and when I'd make eye contact with another Tiger fan walking around we'd simulataneously point and say, "GEAUX TIGAS"!! The best was a group of 6 girls walking and it didn't register until the second time but when they saw me in LSU attire they were saying, "GEAUX.............TIGAS.................GEAUX...............TIGAS!! Even my kids got excited. When we were waiting to board flight to come back, some elderly woman looked up at me and in a raspy voice and said, "Y'all goin to win Wednesday yeah." I said, "We're certainly planning on it and if our team plays Tiger ball we should take care of business", and she said, "Oh, yes.......y'all will win. Saw Waay more LSU fans than any other college (Only 2 Florida fans with shirts and/or caps- that surprised me, but our fans are proud and our support for our team doesn't have a vacation.......it's 24-7. It made me so proud to be an LSU fan that I wanted to share that with everyone. :thumb:
You are right and man, I thought about you when I was seeing all those LSU fans.........at least 3-1 against all other schools. Only 1 USC fan, a few Ohio S. Several Vols, Bama, and Hog fans. less than 6 total Florida and Florida St. and NOT ONE Miami fan- And I'm obviously speaking of according to attire.
I went twice during Mardi Gras week, I was simply amazed at all the LSU fans. LSU! LSU! LSU!
When we went to Talladega last fall, there were a lot of LSU fans too, and we would do the same thing, point and say :geauxtige . :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige And I had all my  stuff hanging at the camper too, and they would walk by and say the same thing. Several just walked up to the camper and start talking about the game. I didn't even go to the truck race because the football game was on at the same time.
Last December when I took my wife and kids to Disney World, I saw people all the time wearing LSU stuff. When they'd see me in my requisite LSU apparel, we'd exchange a "Geaux Tigers!". Ironically, it reminded me of the Florida commercial where people all over the world say "Go Gaytors" to each other. Except that this really happened. I've never seen Gaytor fans do that...they're too cocky to do that. Incidentally, I saw a show on the travel channel about Disney World one time and in one part of it, someone with a LSU shirt on walked behind the host. I remember jumping up and telling my wife to look...fortunately, I have TiVo. LOL
It made me so proud of our fans that we carry that bond and spirit everywhere! Best fanbase in college football.:thumb:
I agree, LSU! fans are the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige
Yep.. 2 of my best friends are in Disney World as we speak... They went and gave me one of their Sugar Bowl tickets for Christmas... I'm a happy guy.
