We have been through a coaching change this year, and there has been quite a bit of disagreement on this forum as to the outcome. The nature of the dissention on the board has been quite heated at times, and persistent for a long time, and it continues. This is only about the dissention on this board.

Actually, this forum has always been like that. IMO, that is what makes it so interesting and informative. People don't sugarcoat their posts, they post what they truly feel and believe. I love the passion LSU fans show!

I said less likely to post. When I joined, it was the "best time", and the unity on the board was wonderful. There was some disagreement, but not that much.

The fighting the last year has been real dissappointing. I get a little depressed when I see supposed fans acting in ways and saying things that I think, in themselves are harmful to the program. Posters that I used to really like a lot, and respect, I have lost some respect for them.

I also have personal reasons for needing to post less often, needing to do some work related studying (I hope I can pull myself away, but its not working that well today).

I don't mind some disagrements in discussions but some of this gets old. I could understand if this were Oklahoma and we had more than one NT in football since I've been alive but some people here think that we should be there every year. It ain't gonna happen...not in the SEC. Now maybe we should petition the PAC 10.

The problem is not the disagreements, that's what makes this place so much fun. It's the personal attacks that bother me because they have a tendency to get pretty nasty at times. The only thing that really got me going were the flamers that came on the board during the SECCG. I guess there weren't any moderators around that night because a couple of the flamers went way to far for this board.:angryfire

i'm new to the forum i've only started posting here for a month or two, but I think it makes for a better forum when there are things to argue and disagree about cause it makes you want to post more when someone disagree, otherwise there would be nothing to talk about if everyone agrees with one another.

i like seeing views from different people and how they feel, as long as they can back up what they say. (by the way, excellent forum, i like posting and reading posts here)

I agree. I remember back to the early days of sports chats, as far back as 1996. ESPN had a live real-time chat room for college football fans back then. There were about 5 or 6 regular LSU fans that came there at the time. I was one, Mike Scarborough of Tigerbait was another. We had one unspoken rule that just seemed to apply. Ya never trash another LSU fan in public. I know things have changed in the last 10 years and that may be a bit unrealistic with the large number of people posting but it seems to me that LSU fans should be able to disagree, even vehemently disagree, and still remain friends with a common love for LSU at the end of the argument. If I wasn't an LSU fan and came to this sight, I would see plenty that would make me glad I wasn't an LSU fan, espeically lately.

I remember the early days of this board when I joined. Sometimes days would go by between posts so I am glad this sight is doing great. But there was another site I left because of the personal attacks and it seems some of those members have drifted over here. But overall this is a great LSU site and a terrific place to come for information and commentary.

I am capable of gentlemanly conversation with everyone except rex. If I had to name one "LSU fan" that I wish would not darken this site, it would be rex. The rest of you are alright. Well, maybe not scrappy, but the rest are good to go. Then again, now that I think about it, red sometimes gets on my nerves, and that army dog tirk can be a pain. You know what? Never mind.... half of you suck. :hihi:

I think the fans should get it off our minds in here instead of in a bar or at school , all i care about is the Tigers winning so GEAUX TIGERS and if you do not agree then you do have a problem !!!
