We all know that LSU football fans are known around the country as arguably the best college football fans in the United States of America. LSU football fans are constantly ranked as among the best in the nation in various national polls ranking home crowd noise, home crowd advantage, tailgating, etc.

However, although LSU football fans have often finished in the top 5 in the history of the annual NCAA football attendance statistics, LSU football has never come close to achieving the domination that LSU baseball fans have achieved in the history of the annual NCAA baseball attendance statistics.

    Look at this link:

    NCAA Baseball Attendance

It shows the NCAA baseball attendance statistics from the 1999 season to the 2006 season, and LSU is #1 each and every year. That is simply insane.

Consider that LSU baseball won National Titles in 1991, 1993, 1996, 1997, and 2000... and I wonder how many seasons during the 1990s that we led the NCAA in attendance statistics for college baseball?

According to that above link from the NCAA, LSU was #1 each and every year in college baseball fan attendance from 1999 to 2006. Does anybody know how many years during the 1990s LSU college baseball fans led the NCAA in fan attendance? Does anybody know how LSU college baseball fans ranked in 2007 and this season so far when it comes to NCAA attendance statistics?

Is it possible that LSU college baseball fans have shattered the all-time NCAA record for consecutive streaks at #1 of all the fans of all the sports and teams in NCAA history????

I wouldn't be surprised if that is that case.

    It's insane.

    P.S. USC sucks

Its something like 16 or 17 years in a row that we have lead. Also that looks like paid attendance not actual attendance. Not sure where we ranked the last few years in actual attendance, we really may not be first.

Download the LSU baseball media guide, it has darn near every record in the world listed on it somewhere.

It is paid attendance. However, that should turn around next year for actual attendance.

If by "best", you mean "a whole lot of bandwagoners that fill the Box and populate the game threads after a winning streak gets into the mid teens"
then yes, we got great fans :hihi:

    just kidding (sorta).
During the Skip years, actual attendance was SOLID. If CPM can keep this up, it will be once again.
No one was interested in watching Smoke watch a ball club under achieve.

I remember watching the CWS in like 94 maybe, it was one of the years that the Tigers did not make it to Omaha. The announcers made the comment that even though LSU was not there, there was more Tiger merchandise sold than any team that did make it to the tourney. Amazing.

It was extremely cool to see all the purple and gold there when I was there with my frat singing the National Anthem in 05. It was neat to have all the home town support even though the team wasn't there.

    That's 3 out of 4!

Football on top, Baseball rising again, and track there!

All we need is Basketball to rise again, and we'll be THE PREMIER PROGRAM for College Division 1 Athletics in the Big 4.

Other Sports (Tennis, Golf, etc) make up the 5th

It's gonna take some cash to pull this off. The passion and the fan base is there!

Build it, and they will come!:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige
