that this Holiday Bowl between Leach and Tedford is possible positioning for the LSU job? Maybe not Tedford so much but if he were to lose he may be more open to listening to what Skip has to offer. If Leach stomps butt then the laser might focus on him!
I don't know about these two, but there is no doubt Les Miles thought about....heck, he even brought it up after the game.
NO but i get the sneaking suspicion that the longer the tiger's go without hiring a coach, the more panicy forum members are and the more ridiculous the posts. :dis: While we do need a head coach, ( we still have one until after the bowl :dis: ) We do NOT need to panic and hire Curly, Moe or Larry. if we can get someone in here after the bowl game to finish the recruiting we will be fine. Just because the "great" candidates aren't running here to tiger forums or mouthing off to the media about LSU, doesn't mean something isn't being done behind closed doors. With the playoffs coming and all the bowl games, no one is going to upset the apple cart just yet. Wait a while, we'll be fine.
Hmmm... I have a creeping suspicion that neither of these guys will get a phone call after this game... Tedford want leave Cal and Leach is just not an SEC style coach.
Isn't is a little superficial to start grading various coaches based upon their performances in this year's bowl games? Remember that Gerry DiNardo decisively beat Nick Saban at a bowl game back in 1997, I think. Does that mean that DiNardo is a better HC than Saban?
We have all known that if Cal or USC played in a real conference they would take 2-3 loses.. there are about 1M SEC fans giving a collective "Told Ya So"
so if auburn loses it means they had no business in the NC game? that's bad deducing by anyone who judges a coach on one game. Just like if Cal had crushed Tech or simply wins, it doesn't mean a lot.
