Think about it. The Shadow he has been under for 2 years is officially gone when Saban says yes.

The Vitriol for Saban will be unprecedented.
Everyone will be rooting for Miles, and rooting hard especially when he plays Bama
No more "We want Saban Back" crap
He has the opportunity of beating Saban

Basically I am excited Saban is going to Bama. Makes for one hell of a story line come Fall. Plus what is better #10 Ranked Bama vs #9 ranked LSU in the late fall or Unranked Bama.. Its a win win for everyone. Trust me on this. Miles can finally say "This is my team" no more Saban shadows...

Secondly I have said it countless times, I am SO HAPPY Miami is getting what their just deserts, just like Mich State fans that came here when Saban did his little act with us. What comes around goes around..

I'd hate to think what will be said if Miles lost to Saban...

He will probably lose to Saban. He will also lose to Meyer, and Tuberville, just like he will beat all of the above.

To think we will win every game is silly. This is the SEC.

Understood. But it would be naive to think that some LSU fans wouldn't be all over Miles if he loses to Saban, especially the first game.

Hell, he's 21-4 and some are all over him right now...

Yeh I think those days are over. Saban to Bama solved that problem I think...

And they should be. I cannot express how thankful I am that last few post seasons we have have enjoyed a post bowl win (Hopefully another tomorrow) and NOT had to deal with the Saban sideshow...

It has been peaceful.. Of course some would spin it. No one wants Miles, which is absurd... Maybe Miles doesnt have an agent burning up the fax machine with every open job on the market...

Not to say we shouldn't have won against the teams we've lost to, but Les has beaten everyone we should have beaten. Nick can't say the same. UAB comes to mind...how quickly we forget. And the Arkansas losses, and Iowa. When Les starts losing games we should easily win, those "fans" will have something to say. Until then, I just wish they'd appreciate the program we have in place. Nice to not have to listen about where our coach might be coaching after the Sugar Bowl. I wished Saban the best when he left LSU, but the way he's playing this situation, I wash my hands of him, whether he stays or goes to Bama. He's a weasel.:dis: This could be the one thing that gets the Sabanites on board with Miles, so I know I for one will be ready for Miles vs. Saban. So sick of hearing about Les winning with Saban's talent. I haven't seen any of Saban's talent suffer under Miles leadership, only got better and better. And before anyone says it, don't bring up JV. Where was he in Saban's final year??

No, I don't think he will be jumping for joy cause I don't think he really cares that much about what a handful of fans think. Also, I don't think it's a matter of those unsatisfied fans saying they want Saban back, just that they want Miles gone. So those sentiments won't change even if Saban goes to Bama.

If Saban goes to Bama he sure as hell better win or invest his money well; with the track record he's developing NO ONE will want him if he loses.

Miles is probably indifferent. He's not the type of person to care who's shadow he's in or how much credit he gets.

However, I don't think Saban going to Bama would be such a bad thing. In all likelihood, Miles will beat Bama with Nick more times than not, and our fans would probably stop being so infatuated with him - the catch here is unless he gets Bama some SEC championships, maybe even a NC before Miles does, which would only increase the infatuation. I don't think that is going to happen though. The bad part about Saban to Bama is that he will steal a few of our recruits. I think Miles will prove himself to ultimately be a better recruiter than Saban, but that doesn't mean that we won't occasionally lose out on a talented player.

I agree. This will remove the shadow and let CLM establish his own legacy. Hopefully, a NC or two will be part of this.
