It's a strange feeling after this game. The last time I really felt like we were screwed was the 7-3 Auburn game, but we didn't take the lead late in that game, so it wasn't the same thing. I couldn't help but notice the CFP standings have us two spots higher than we were after beating Ole Miss. I just laugh at the idea that Alabama won the game. I know we didn't, and I'm angry about the referees and the missed opportunities, but I guess I feel more like it was a tie. I didn't feel any amusement about the idea of Alabama winning any of the last three games, just frustration. But now I smile and think, "we were the more deserving team, but the fix was in."
LSU lost and will continue to struggle until it is learned how to move the ball forward from one guy's hand into another guy's hand, through the air.
If you're not first you're last. We lost. To me it felt like we lost. But if it makes you feel any better, we didn't lose in regulation.
I felt like we earned victories against two of the four top-ten teams we played this year, and we haven't lost to anyone outside the top ten. So I don't call that struggling overall. I take your point though. The passing game was obviously disappointing and will need to improve next season. Even if we had won this one, too many of these games have been too close for comfort as a result of the passing deficiencies.
Coach Saban? Is that you? http://www.si.com/college-football/2014/11/09/alabama-crimson-tide-lsu-tigers-sec-west
