I think it will be more of a practice regime with situational work such as 3rd and long and goaline plays etc.. Most of the scrimmage should have 1st vs. 2nd team and maybe we will get to see 20 or so plays with 1st vs. 1st team action. I dont think they will have quarters but the clock might be running for each group and format of the situations. The last closed scrimmage was where they did all the main plays and game format. Dont bank on Les showing much of the offense this time around. Should be a very vanilla scrimmage.
I'm thinking it's going to be more like a game this year. I doubt they do situational work. Before CLM it was always a game with officials. I'm thinking they are going to go back to this format this year. As for the amount of time in each quarter I'm not sure how they will do it this year.
Yeah, I guess you are right. I posted this before reading the other thread and it seems to the consensus that it will have a game format. But Les wont show us much of the wrinkles he has in place for next year.
http://www.lsusports.net/pdf4/68941.pdf There's the link to the roster for the Spring game. I imagine it will be similar to a game, but will put them in some situational plays as well. 12 noon in the sun is miserable though...
It's going to be worth it to see both MF and RP at work on different teams. MF gets Doucet and RP gets LaFell. I'll be happy if either team scores 20.
The format will be 4 15 minute quartes with the first half set with a regular game format. And there will be an option for a running clock for the 2nd half. Check the rosters HERE
At this point in time, I would sit in 110 degree heat with thermals on next to a bonfire to watch LSU football.
