Does anyone know the status of Joe Lawrence?

I thought that I read that he had torn his knee and would redshirt this year, but the LSU football show on Fox Sports did not mention an injury when it talked about Lawrence. Do any of you know?

 

I think I read that he would be back in August
after rehab.

 

I don't think Joe's injury was known before the taping of the show, he was injured in the spring game and they weren't sure of the extent of the injury until days later. I wouldn't expect him to be even close to ready for contact in August with a torn ACL.

 

Joey Lawrence graduated from Barbe High School in 97. That means that would make him a 24-25 year old freshman?

 

he is 27 but still in amazing shape.

 

Didn't he play some professional baseball somewhere? I know he was a two sport star at Barbe and may have gotten drafted right out of high school.

 

He played professional baseball with the blue Jays
