in the polls..? and I know everyone says that there's no difference between 3 and 4... but miami doesnt have a real tough opponent ahead of them and will most likely stay a one loss team... stranger things have happened than the possibility or texas or USC losing a game...

take a look at their body of work:

    loss to FSU...
    beat clemson
wins against 5 consecutive unranked teams (wow)
BIG win vs va tech number 3 at the time
they beat wake forrest tonite (wow again)

still to play, georgia tech, and virginia...and then a title game vs possibly a 3 loss team...

that's not as impressive as LSU's schedule... in statistically a tougher league...

    thoughts?

also.. if UT or USC lose... do they stay in the top 2?

Miami is a media darling, and they are playing good when it counts. I think we pull close to them, maybe even in the human polls, but Florida's loss today will hurt us in the BCS.

    Nope.

    Don't even bother.

I've wasted countless hours doing what you've done.

The voters as a whole do not vote with any sort of logical method. They throw in their ballots.

That's pretty much my thoughts as well.

Also, Miami's win vs then-ranked #3 VT, followed by a dismantleing of Wake Forest, collectively, look better than our 6-pt OT win vs 'Bama and our 24-point win over Appalachain state during the past two weeks.

Why the hell should we care about what the AP voters have to say?

FightinTiger has it half way right. We will not jump Miami.

But The ap will jump teams that win this late in the year -- if those teams happen to be USC, Notre Dame, Miami, Ohio State, Michigan, and maybe a few others.

The AP could have us out of the top 25 for all I care.

Just as long as the coaches get it right.

you forgot Penn state. SEC gets jumped, SEC is not allowed to jump.

No one is taking into account that FSU lost.....and to Clemson. That is pretty significant considering that FSU beat Miami. At the very least it balances out the Florida loss.
