"The 42-minute video honoring the 1958 National Championship team is entitled 1958 Southern Miss Football: The Championship Season"

I lived in Hattiesburg for 13 or 14 years and never heard them claiming this. What level were they at back then?

"After laying out a year, Perkins moved on to Mississippi Southern College in 1957._ He was a starting tackle on the 1957 and 1958 teams that had a combined record of 17-3._ The 1957 team played in the Tangerine Bowl, while the 1958 team went 9-0 and won the UPI National College Division (Small College) Championship._ The 1958 team shut out five of the nine opponents and is the only Southern Miss team ever to go undefeated and untied."

    Never mind I found it.

Basically at the same time LSU and Ole Miss were dominating major football; Southern Miss was dominating the small college teams. Kinda like 1-AA of the time. That was a damn good Old School team.

Hey dallastigers, The Passion is an awesome movie. I saw it the other week. You will like it.

Was it the finished project? I have read great reviews, but all have been before the movie was complete as maybe a few effects were still be added or the score was not complete. Not that stuff that small would take away from the movie. I just got my email about advanced ticket ordering.

Yes it was the finished project. I have contacts with the Gibson family and was able to view it when I was in LA last week. I don't know if any more post production will be done. They like to tweak these things until the last minute sometimes.
