Saban's been saying he was waiting for someone to step up and take the spot. I think between us not wanting to reinjure Russell's ankle and the way Randall played, it would be hard to put Russell back in as the starter anytime soon.

    What are your thoughts?

Randall can't win an SEC game, remember?
    :D

I just hope Saban picks someone now.

Not to take anything away from Marcus, but I think it means that we go with and stick with whomever has the "hot hand" at the moment IMO.

How can any of us know what to think anymore?

One thing is clear and that is that the offensive line played a HECK of a ball game today. I think we can have success at the QB position no matter who is back there with that kind of line play.

It seems to me he plays much better coming off the bench. Although I don't want him coming in 14 down very often...

some how I KNEW someone would start this post. The contreversey rages on.
I think Saban should play the guy that wins games until he messes up, whoever that may be. if it's Randall good, if it's Jamarcus that's fine too.
if it's neither, stick Flynn in, the object of playing is to win games, if you're Qb is screwin the game up you can't do any worse by trying another one.

Saban did good by pulling JR out tongiht, he looked tense and very sporatic. he is not looking down field, sure he has a GUN but you have to AIM your gun. He will in time. or Flynn will take his spot. it's really simple, isn't it? LOL

I think it is now Randall's job. Russell doesn't know what is going on when he is out there.

I'm really happy for Marcus. This may lead to him taking over as the starter. I can't help but remember Saban benching him 2 years ago before the Ole Miss game. He was on the sidelines for about a quarter while our offense sputtered. Then Saban puts him in and he plays well. He also played well at Arkansas and pretty well at the Cotton Bowl. I don't think that any of us know if being benched makes him elevate his game or if he's just a good reliever.

I'm ecstatic over the victory, but I'll wait to see if we've found our starter for a little while longer.

LSU needs to get a long look at Flynn in these next two

games ... Somebody who is mobile, knows the plays and can execute ...

I don't give a crap about how strong your friggin' arm is ... if it's connected to a ten-cent head and you telegraph your passes :dis:

We need mobility and smarts back there in 2005 ... and it doesn't look like Russell will cut it and give LSU the truly dangerous offensive threat it needs to win in 2005 ... LSU must have 40+ points a game in 2005 and with the recruiting talent we have ... LSU is capable of it

A disappointing 29 points a game in 2004 just isn't cutting it :dis:

    Perriloux to Texas ...

Perriloux is headed to LSU ... cue Perriloux recruiting film ... Roll it ... there's always 2006.

When Perriloux comes to LSU ... gentlemen ... because he believes he can beat out Russell ... he could very well start late in 2005 ... I'll take a 4.4 hotshot over a 4.75 hotshot any day ... all things being the same (play knowledge and presence) ... at least Perriloux can run.

Let the Russell fans begin bleeding ... thrill us with your acumen (how bout it) :hihi:

JS does that chick have panties on? Just wondering. Also I think that Saban would not have pulled JaMarcus if he wasn't hurt. I believe that Saban had every intention of leaving JaMarcus in and letting him grow. Randall had a terrific game, but I still think that he is much better off the bench when he feels like he has no pressure to perform. I think that he puts way to much pressure on himself when he starts.
