I read on another message board a thread on Dan Monson being LSU's next basketball coach. And earlier tonight his name was being discussed on the the talk radio circules that he could be LSU's #1 choice. So my question is does LSU leak info like this to see what the average fans reactions might be to a particular coach that they might hire? I remember when Saban was first hired at LSU and at Miami how the "rumors" mysteriously started appearing all over the place and no one could confirm anything. Well does anyone else think its strange that all of the sudden Dan Monson's name is being floated by unnamed sources associated with LSU, that is according to talk radio and now the infamous internet name dropping. I would love him to come to LSU to replace Brady b/c he has proven that he can build a program from the ashes (Gonzaga & Minnesota) and made them into national programs.

Sports Talk on 990AM and on the Rant. I really think that where there is smoke there is fire at least that's been the modus operandi of the LSU ADs office since Skip has been at the helm. Dan Monson would be a big time hire for LSU.

Could be the rant is the source for the radio speculation, or vice versa. In that case, there is not two sources, but one reporting on the rumor started by the other.
