Don't know if anyone has brought this up yet......

But did anyone else notice that the great great majority of our points came from special teams last night and not offensive production? This concerns me quite a bit. Take away Peterson's stellar performance some lucky ball bounces our way and we loose this game last night. I know I shouldn't deal in what ifs but you got to think last night could have been much more embarrassing than it was last night.

If this has been brought up already then sorry.

I haven't mentioned that "if PP didn't score, we probably lose" because I didn't want to hear the "if my aunt had balls" analogy.

Well, everyone has been predicting that we had very good special teams and it appears that we do. It's a good thing. May they set the record for special team points this season.

I'll really be surprised if Vandy gives PP an opportunity to return a punt Saturday night.

"If they are still kicking to me by game 4, then I'm not doing my job" -- Patrick Peterson :hihi:

    StaceyO Football Turns Me On

I posted in another thread that we can't take away our big plays without taking away UNC's huge 75 and 95 yard pass plays.

It's football. Big plays happen--often for both sides, and often, the team with the most big plays at the end of the game wins.

It happened that way last night.

And it's a tad irritating that some are taking the brightest spot of the game, Peterson's returns, and trying to find some way not to celebrate it. If our anemic offense and bend but don't break defense are part of our team, then so is the wonderful returning abilities of PP.
