I'm proud that Glen Dorsey is a leader on this team, he is class and quality all they way:

“I’m playing for more than just myself, more than just for my team,” Dorsey said. “That’s a lot to play for, but I’m playing for this 1-year-old girl in the bleachers with an LSU cheerleading outfit on: Don’t know what’s going on, but she’s out there cheering us on. When I’m tired I think about all that. I think about the 90-year-old guy who could be at home doing other things, but he’s out there supporting us, and it’s because they love LSU.

“I use that as motivation. When I’m tired, I can’t be tired, because they’re depending on me. I look forward to it. That’s why I love LSU so much, because our fans are genuine. They’re going to support us no matter what.”

That quote is impressive. That is a solid young man. It seems LSU puts some good athletes out there that are real class. Not all of them but I would dare say LSU puts out more class athletes as compared to the majority of schools.

Seeing him playing with the little girl that had cerebal palsy was pretty moving, then to hear a football player say something like this, is really special.

Also from the article...more Auburn sportsmanship:

Rules are rules. Auburn had every right to complain. Seems to me the NCAA would care more about their student athletes to make certain exceptions to that rule for health reasons like CJ's. Maybe CLM should bring it to their attention.

Sorry, while I agree that they have that right I think it was low class to do so. It has no bearing on the outcome of the game and is just Tubs' crew way of trying to get any advantage.

Which reminds me of something about Miles early this year....

He could have complained about the cowbells at Miss State which are against the rules and affect the game. But I was impressed that he did not and just beat them anyway. Huge difference between Tubs and CLM.

I'm not arguing theres no difference between Tubs and CLM. You think CLM would have lit up cigars on an opposing teams field? No way in hell. But Tubs wasn't outside of the rules with this one. If he wants to give his team the edge within the rules it's his decision, no matter how lame it may be.

Why did he need a tinted shield? I heard it mentioned on TV but I was watching it on the DVR and fast forwarded past the mention.

He was poked in the eye during the Kentucky game and didnt return. He was still light sensitive during the AU game.

According to the link above Miles said...
"Jackson, he said, has experienced sensitivity to light since suffering injuries to both eyes in the Oct. 13 game at Kentucky. Miles said LSU’s medical staff deemed the tinted shield necessary."

I never heard an explanation on TV.
