Insightful article about Mr. Bowe and some of his abilities.

I think we will miss his blocking more than anything.

Remember when benching 500lbs was considered a big deal for NFL linemen??

And was a steal in the draft. Damn I wanted him in black & gold.

I am going to say that Bowe does not bench 550 pounds and no where near close to that. I went and did a little research and tried to find bench results from the combine and Pro Day. Bowe decided not to lift both times. I did find a projected combine results site that expected Bowe to bench 275 19 times. Which is great for a WR. One rep less than CJ and Rhema McKnight. DT Alan Branch benches 475. Saints undrafted FA Walter Thomas who is 6-5 374 pounds benches 475 and squats 800(also wears a XXXXXXL jearsy). However, Bowe's impressive Squat max of 450 holds and that is amazing for a WR. But there is no way he beat out his squat max by 100 pounds.

There's no way he benches 550 or 450. Draft tidbit for comparison: Manual Ramirez, the massive tackle from Texas Tech, broke the team record with a bench press around 550.

Sorry guys, I never lifted weights in High School(or any other time) except to max out and measure my progress. Should have caught that discrepancy. I just linked the article. Go blow up that reporter's email.:hihi::hihi:

However, I looked a bit harder and found the stats below:
