In case you don't get ESPN Insider, Todd McShay placed Doucet as the No. 5 pick for the 2008 draft and likely the top WR. Not bad!

I would believe that if JR were still here. Not saying Flynn/Perrilloux can't get the job done, but I think the offense will be a lot different this year...more run oriented.

We'll see. Personally, I think Flynn will surprise a lot of people.

Yeah with Keiland running the ball. Although I heard Crowton is going to use a little run-option stuff since he likes the spread offense. I don't know if we'll be able to use 4 WR sets since we still have to find out who will take the next 2 WR spots after ED and LaFell.

It must be a really weak WR class for our 3rd WR to be #1 next year. While I hope he does go that high, his size certainly hurts him. Teams are looking for game-changing receivers a la Calvin Johnson with size and freak-like speed in the top ten of the draft.

I hope Flynn has a heck of a GREAT year. Others have done it, wait their turn, then look like a seasoned mature veteran, showcase their talent, and garner a high draft slot. I'd love to see it.

I don't see how you can possibly make such specific draft predictions so early on. You have no idea who will have the fifth pick, much less whether or not that team will need a reciever. Saying someone will be a top-10 pick is one thing, but saying they'll be number X is a bit premature.

Just because it will be different does not mean it will not be as good.

I think Flynn will have more passing yards than JR did last year, lots of short dump offs to KW, TH, RM, and JH along with ED that turn into long passes.

I don't see how my post said anything about Flynn not having a good year, or that he wouldn't do well. He is a different type of QB than JR, and the offense will be different than it was last year. I said different, not in a bad way, just different. Flynn won't surprise me. I know he's good. It will surprise me if he :thumb: have a good year. I too would love to see him have the type of season that would garner a high draft pick.
