I've been on the road so I don't know if this has been discussed.... http://www.vegasinsider.com/college-football/odds/futures/ I understand USC having the best odds to win the BCS (as their road to the PAC-10 championship has less bumps)... what is surprising is Florida has 8:1 odds and LSU is 10:1. If this was some ESPN "Common Tater", I could play along... but this is Vegas. What do they know about Florida that I'm missing??
Even with MSU returning practically their entire offense (10 starters, lost Sr. RG) their defense is what came together last season after the 7-8th game. Still, have to take LSU and the points.
what cracks me up (actually, it makes me mad) is how so. cal is supposed to have the toughest (or near it) schedule, yet their toughest game on paper is @ Nebraska yet so. cal is favored by about 15. me, im dumping money on florida state, uga and maybe oregon.
I would be wary of the Vegas line if I were a "Tiger". Could become an expensive proposition when the "Dawgs" release their secret weapons on August 30! Go Dawgs! ClaraDawg
Hang around...you'll learn I'm no Tiger. You don't want me to talk about MSU and their situation, trust me. I've got several connections within the team that might come as...shall we say, disconcerting?
lines are not a prediction of who vegas thinks is best or will win. its who they think people will bet on. if vegas knew now boise would win the NC they wouldnt set the odds at 1:1. they'd leave it at 100:1 or whatever it is now to encourage action.
