He was suspended for the game, but he was on the sidelines at Florida wearing his jersey, so you can guess that he is not in Nick's doghouse. Nick stated Friday that he didn't know all of the facts, yet. My guess is that Kuale got a suspension and team discipline for getting himself into a situation that embarrased the school. Nick will likely wait and see if Kuale is actually convicted of a crime before considering further punishment. Kuale stated that he punched a guy once because the guy had threatened him and was about to hit him. Other witnesses may disagree. It is proper for Nick to wait until the court acts before dispensing punishment. Sometimes these charges get dropped.
Agreed. And if it is similar to what I suspect- He was provoked. I hate to see him punished for finishing what someone else started. Thanks for the update Red.
Whether provoked or not, I heard that Kuale more than finished the guy off. The guy had a nice trip to the hospital after E.J. was done with him.
I did not the guy was sent to the hospital. Sorry to hear that. I hope it all works out for both of them in the end.
A lot of people go to the hospital when they think they got something. If this guy has a thing against LSU football and thinks he can get something or hurt someone he can be a jerk and milk this. Anytime the cops get involved they have to ask you if you want treatment or not. Then the wheels start turning and wola you now have the potetial for a mess. :cuss:  :angryfire
Knowing E.J. , i'm sure he didn't start anything. As unbelievable as it may seem. Not everyone has the same love for LSU football that we on the board do. I lot of people resent the attention they get.On more that one occation I've been out with the players and heard someone say something like "ya'll think are better than us" and such as that. But, I was in Gainesville thurday night so I have no idea what happened. Hopefullythis will all pass and E.J. will be ready to go for Troy State.
Tino - I heard from a friend who worked with Amp Hill on his rehab that his knee continues to be a mess - any word? What is the latest?
Update- KUALE UPDATE: Linebacker E.J. Kuale, suspended for the Florida game after an off-campus fight, will play against Troy. "I said he would be suspended for one game," Saban said. "He was suspended for that game, and I have no new information to say that he needs to be further penalized or anything else." Saban said Kuale apologized to the team after the game. He said Kuale, a native of Daytona Beach, Fla., was upset he cost himself his one chance to play in his home state in front of friends and family. "Discipline is not punishment," Saban said. "Discipline is changing behavior. So if what we did to the guy changed his behavior, I don't think we need to do anything else. Now, if he has legal problems, that's his deal. If he gets charged with a felony, that's another issue, but I don't have any information to support any of that stuff." http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2004/football/ncaa/10/13/bc.fbc.lsunotes.ap/index.html
Actually you're very wrong...the guy has a huge love for LSU Football and thats the reason he isn't pressing charges even though he has reason to. I hate to say it but E.J. sucker punched the guy.
