Your link has your answers in it, here is the virgin link: http://proxy.espn.go.com/chat/sportsnation/fiftyfifty/polling?event_id=1434 Rank 'Em: How will the SEC shape up? http://sports.espn.go.com/chat/sportsnation/listranker?id=309
Sure... it is wrong in OUR eyes, but think about it: There are what? 8-9 schools that play football to divide the state? While there is only 1 pro team! So it only makes sense that the saints control the board, because of the lack of separation among voters, like the colleges have.
I can understand how the Saints playoff win would be #1. I mean, we all knew LSU would win the championship again someday, but WHO could have predicted that the Saints would ever win a playoff game!??! We dodged Armageddon on that day.
Well.. Florida and Alabama are the two teams that would come to Tiger Stadium and kick LSU's ass.. so, that WOULD be the two teams that LSU considers the most hated, and thus, rivals... the Auburn thing is just annoyance over the mascots...
Since we're juicing the poll, why not let's just move ALL the LSU stuff to the top of the board. Having the Saints rank above LSU is just inexcusable and offensive.
Flame away....but LSU over #1 Florida in 1997 is my personal most memorable - period. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/features/cover/2002/jinx/90s/102097lg.jpg
