Anyone have problem when you call DirecTV with them finding the LSU game for tomorrow? I am on hold right now because the operator cannot find the game in their system. Of course, it is on the DirecTV schedule online and on my TV for channel 774. Very frustrating o:
why don't you just buy using your remote? the DirecTV people are very clueless most of the time. If for some reason the game is not on and you buy because they advertised it, demand a credit. make them squirm :thumb:
I always just order it on the day of direct from my remote. It had BETTER be on, since they offered ULL and Louisiana Tech two weeks ago.
I just ordered the game through DirecTV with no problems. I called 1-800-getsports. It's on Ch. 774, at 9:30 am PST. The total cost is just under 20 bucks. Now, blackout rules do apply and you can check that out at ESPN.com. Next to the College Football link, there should be a Gameplan link. From there you can see if your area may be blacked out (next to the LSU game is a link for checking this out). I checked it out, and the only areas the black out applies . . . is in and around La extending East to the Atlantic Ocean. Out here in CA, we are fine and will get the game no matter what. For the 20 bucks you get the entire slate of games for the day (along with the LSU/missST game). Hope that helps. The entire process took me around 3 to 5 minutes to complete my order.
That's a large black out area. So shall we have a big LSU tailgate out here on the left coast since we aren't blacked out? Maybe I'll just order through the remote. My TiVo order got messed up when I called. I don't know what happened, but I didn't have it in time to start the NFL season. I got it for week 2, though. Directv is great when it works correctly. When it doesn't, it is a bit frustrating. All that said, it blows cable away, especially if you want Sunday Ticket. I've had Directv for 1.5 years now. It has gone out on me one time for about 20 minutes when we had a freak T-storm out here. (I say freak because we don't normally get those.) :thumb:
