...or as they put it: "We're going to discuss LSU's new coach after the break, don't go away."

I predict they will talk about it for 60 seconds, and say something like: "great hire, but he's got huge shoes to fill..."

Does anyone in the news media ever say anything good about lsu? No, i didn't think so. I just shrug that stuff off and ignore it.. I don't know what it is about LSU, but most of those guys either hate us or totally write us off. We just need more time to prove ourselves.

Do we really care what they think?? USC could hire Elmo to replace Carroll and it would be a brilliant manuever that only USC could pull off.

I put more credence in the words of players he has coached like David LaFleur who said Miles was the best coach he ever played for and Troy Aikmen who said LSU couldn't have picked a better coach to replace Saban.

Are you serious? I'm really starting to think that some of us tune out when anyone compliments LSU, but when it's negative, ears are at attention. Come on now, LSU gets plenty of respect in the media, I've personally seen it. I've actually been pleasantly surprised at how much respect that media has show LSU over the last year. Respect is earned and LSU has earned it by winning the national title last year. Hey, even Trev Alberts is showing us respect now, that is a minor miracle.

Yep, many in the media have been saying LSU's coaching vacancy was one of the top jobs in the country. That may or may not be true, but it was certainly said may times over the last few weeks.

Trev has really jumped on the SEC bandwagon this year. Not sure how long he has lived in Georgia, but he has really bought into the SEC. He can be really goofy at times, but I like him more than Mark Mays.

He just knows his Huskers bleaux right now, and he realizes how much talent we have on all 8 dominant teams.
