http://sports-ak.espn.go.com/ncf/index go down to the sportsnation question Can you believe this? they are trying to give usc another championshp!:cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: at least boise is undefeated. how the hell are you going to put usc on that list.
That does not surprise me. Before the Rose Bowl ESPN was trying to figure out a way to give the NC to Michigan if they beat USC and Florida beat Ohio State. ESPN and ABC are so biased toward the PAC-10 and the BIG-10 it's ridiculous.
I heard about this this afternoon on the radio, and posted about it on the thread about USC's 4th NC. It's ridiculous!!!:angryfire Not even a mention of  , or for that matter, any of the other teams ahead of them. It was a poll, and it was about IF Florida beats OSU, who should be #1, UF, BSU, or USC. That was the only 3 choices they offered in the poll.o:
One good thing...I voted, and USC was not even on the radar. Something like 9%, which is acceptable, as I believe more than 9% of the country is nuts, anyway.:thumb:
Why would LSU deserve to be mentioned anymore than USC? We finished 3rd in the SEC West, we are lucky to even be in a BCS game. Somehow we are #4 in the country, which is great, but everytime USC is overrated is not always a direct slight to LSU.
First off, we lost to two legit top 10 programs, one of which is playing for the national championship. Secondly, college football, in its current state, is about how you finish. And, for the fourth straight year, we went undefeated in the month of November. The poll is ridiculous to begin with, and to have USC mentioned in that poll just because they beat a Michigan team who felt shafted and didn't want to be there is plain stupid.
First of all, my point was that if they're gonna throw USC into the mix, why not include LSU? Secondly, our losses were to top 10 teams on the road, their losses were at home to unranked teams. I never said LSU is more deserving of it than anyone. In fact, I don't think they are. But, nobody can make me believe USC deserves any shot at #1. I am probably one of the few on here that doesn't have a problem with their '03 championship, as I believe they should've been playing in the BCSNC...against  . I also didn't say that it was a slight only to  . What about Wisconsin? What about Louisville? Simple enough??:thumb:
Sorry fishhead, I basically got your rant out before you could. But that type of idiocracy (made up word) deserves to commented on.
i love how the geography plays out. the state that gives the most respect to the BCS--the one that got the most from this system in the past---the one that gave the most votes to UF---Louisiana. you might think itd be florida, but i guess too many FSU and Miami fans voting against them (or New Yorkers).
