did miriam mention how they decide which sports are headcount and which are equivalence sports? always seemed weird to me that baseball got so few. obviously it has been very successful, you could argue the most successful, but only one or two get full rides (atleast it was that way when i was there---only bigben was on full ride on his team. byrd had a full ride to.)

    11.7 simply doesn't cover it.

it's all up to the NCAA... she said she has no clue about the rhyme or reason for it...

she did say that you can combined Tops with athletic scholarships, so that helps recruit louisiana kids.

What I have never understood is the baseball scholarships. Baseball only gets 11.7 scholarhips for what? a 25 man roster? Yet, baseball is the sport most succeptible to HSers going pro. Does anybody else think that if baseball was given more scholarships to give out, the quality of the game might raise because of more HSers being given full ride scholarships to lure them away from big money in pro baseball. Seems like a pretty basic concept to me so why doesn't the NCAA do something?
