I think "best college QB" polls are about the most worthless polls that exist. It's so hard to really define "best" when it comes to QBs. Is "best" defined by the guys who put up the biggest numbers? Since Texas Tech and Hawaii QBs fizzle out on the next level/NFL, I'd say the answer to that is no. Is "best" defined by how many games a QB wins while in college, or for that matter guys who win the Heisman? Again, that doesn't seem to be true, else guys from Charlie Ward through Jason White would be lighting up the NFL ever Sunday. In other words, I think defining the best college QB is extremely subjective. To me, guys who are best are guys who are winners and have exceptional athletic ability, guys who are certain to project well on the next level and perform well for most if not all of their college careers. Also, smart QBs tend to be really good QBs as well. It doesn't matter how tall you are, how far you can throw the ball, etc., if you don't maximize your potential between your ears.
LSU gets plenty of respect. All of the qbs on that list have somewhat proven themselves. Flynn had one bowl game.
 This is by far my favorite TF assertion. NOBODY RESPECTS US! RESPECT US! Why is Richard Murphy not being discussed for the Heisman? Shouldn't Jai Eugene be up for the Thorpe award? And why in the blue hell are no LSU guys being mentioned as lottery picks?
I saw you posted in this thread and I immediately jumped to your post and skipped everything else but you left out "How does LSU only have 1 player in the nations top 25? All 25 should be LSU players, every single starter and a few backups." Anyway, I totally agree with you in that we harp way too much on "respect" when it doesn't matter one bit. Who cares what they think about our players because we will show how good we are on the field.
I do not worry about Matt Flynn, he will be fine .He will not throw the long ball like JR he will not carry 2 players like Jr , but he will be a winner. I look for a NC . How many QB"s do we have now ?
 I can't believe that anyone would be upset that a QB who has only started one game in 4 years is not on a top 10 list. This has nothing to do with the media hating us. And even if it did, who cares!
What are you talking about...Matt should be the number one QB....as should every other starter on our team in their respective position :thumb:
