Ole Miss had there best season in over 30 years and their average attendence dropped 708 people 33. Mississippi 7 395,561 56,509 -708
i love the fact that we had such a great year but only increased attendance a few hundred over last year. that shows how important football is in La. there was no room for improvement. usc has a great year and attendance jumps 10000--fair weather fans.
If you want to talk about fair weather fans, look at Miami. Their avg attendance dropped 11,404. Granted they played FSU and VT on the road, but DAMN! I guarantee their final few home games were 15-20K less than early season games.
We still didn't average 100% attendance. I would love to see us this year with 100-101% attendance at Tiger Stadium.
In one game we outdrew them for their entire season... Also, how funny is that: Kent State UP 63 people for the year for 8,000 per game! Wow! They're on the incline!!!
You won't, with the likes of Vanderbilt, Moo U, Ole Miss, Alabama, Oregon State, Troy State, and Houston at home.
Say what you want, but this statistic is proof we don't need a Southern End Zone cap...and we can't support 100,000...We can't sell out to capacity on even a semi-regular basis...
