Final Regular Series at the Box

I have a bad, bad feeling about this series for the following reasons:

1. The team might be swell-headed, being winners of 9 in a row and being in the Top 25 again.

1b. They playing a team that isn't very good, so there is the "look-ahead" factor.

1c. All of the distractions of all of the Alex Box Series might distract a younger squad

2. Finals week this week = less practice time

2b. No mid-week game to sharpen up the skills.

With that being said, I expect LSU to take 2 of 3. I just also wouldn't be surprised if they play sloppily all weekend.

 

MSU has the lowest batting average and the highest ERA. All we need is our pitching throw like they do and we'll be all right. If we play to our talent level, we won't lose.

This is a big series and the team knows it. You see it as a distraction, I see it as a motivational tool.

 

I love that they are letting Polk do the countdown on Friday. While MSU fans may not understand what that means, he should.
