Can't argue with that. If it's true though, that team has no character. Can you imagine LSU 'laying down' against Ole Piss or Auburn just to teach JR a lesson? ? With the West on the line? That's unfathomable.
If the o-line laid down, they are a disgrace to themselves. If you don't like what your QB had to say, handle it in the locker room. Say what you have to say to him. Then go out and do the best job you can, taking care of your business. Laying down would be "no character".
I agree. It's just hard for me to imagine in a rivarly of that magnitude. Everyone knows Ala. was decimated by injuries on offense. I tend to think AU's talent on 'D' was THAT superior to Ala.'s 2nd and 3rd string; especially given the blue print that Pellini created. The more I think about it, the more I believe this is a rumor created by a Bammer fan to try and lesson the sting of the loss.
Brodie stayed in the pocket too long, and that's one of the reasons there were so many sacks. In fact he often looked like he fell down in anticipation of being sacked so he wouldn't get hurt. I don't think the O-line changed what it was doing. I think Brodie TOOK sacks instead of getting really tackled.:geauxtige
More evidence that teams that take a physical whipping at the hands of LSU conditioned "superior talent" suffer from the "LSU effect" ... and lose many games the following week ... This effect has already shown up in future schedules made after LSU's rise from the ashes ... Teams are trying/scheduling creampuffs after their games ... and asswhippings aginst LSU
