Nah...... add more fuel... Well, just a little. Unless you're the coach at LSU, just sprinkle a little bit of soothing H2O on the fire. Oh wait, or am I talking about adding fire to the forum? Who knows..... As bad as the game was over this past weekend, I can deal with a lot of what happened. The players made some crucial mistakes. Hey, they are human like the rest of us. Emotions get the best of you, a downward spiral, etc. But the one thing that really irks me is to see a player make a critical mistake and then see them get a warm embrace from Miles on the sideline. Even a friendly smirk and a pat on the back. I guess that's just how he is.... and I guess I should accept that and believe in his methods. but.... but.... For goodness sake a coach needs to set a player in his place sometimes and make them realize it when they make crucial mistakes! A coach needs to show some fire and ignite passion in a player! fuel good water bad or whatever it is I just posted
I agree with your post and expressed the same but why now, thought we were passed the venting part.
Dunno, haven't posted much or read much on the main forum since the game... Even avoided local radio. Guess I've been in denial and reality is now settling in.
Not the only thing you are in denial about.:thumb: But back on topic, I HATE seeing a coach "comfort" a kid after making a mistake. That shows to the player that it is ok to make mistakes, when its NOT OK. The mother-hen act needs to stop.
Ask Tom Coughlin how that act goes over in Jacksonville. Ask Saban why he hasn't stayed anywhere for longer than five seasons. It gets old, pardner. He lost the team in 2004, and that's one of the big reasons he left. Not everyone is mentally tough enough to take that kind of treatment.
vegas tiger www.lsuphoenix.com bring your best gumbo..... I got the beer just got a David Toms signed hat in the mail today to auction off to raise money for New Orleans..... 99 you made the drive come on out
Just great, you went and used the S word in my awesome thread. I despise you for doing so. How about a pat on the back though?
