What was up with him pumping his arm before each snap? It was obvious that he was signaling when the snap would be coming for his fellow lineman to help with the noise.

Is this legal? Why don't other teams having problems with false starts use this strategy?

Why weren't the LSU D-lineman and linebackers using this info to time the snap and get a quick jump off the ball? Did LSU coaches not notice?

I didn't notice it until the announcers mentioned it. You would have thought the players and/or coaches would have picked up on it.

maybe he wouldnt only use one pump as the signal?

plus, you'd think it could easily get mixed up with lineman pointing out possible stunts/blitzes.

I thought about that, but every time I watched him it was one pump, then the snap.

Every snap seemed to be one pump and go. Surely our coaches had to pick this up.
