Good. My Arkansas buddy told me LSU is also trying to get the thanksgiving game moved to the a&m series thus moving the razorback game.

That game couldn't be moved back, out would have to be moved up on the schedule.

About time. This game is a big liability for making it to the SECCG and NCG. Right now we get UF and Bama on the schedule every year, one of which is always on the road, while Florida benefits from a relatively weak East slate. If the other AD's love permanent opponents so much, it's time to shake up the matchups.

I like playing Florida every year. Plus, if they are good enough to beat us during the season, they will probably be good enough to beat us in the SECCG. I don't really see the difference, as far as our chances to win an SEC championship.

Look at the NC game. You dont wanna play a repeat opponent, it's almost as if you lose motivation.

The permanent opponent came when bama and tenn insisted in keeping their annual game when the Conf split into divisions. I think the barn ga game was also part of the reason.
Remember fla is a johnny come lately as a sec power.

It's not a coincidence that we've never played Florida in the championship game. The loser is a game back and unlikely to make it. That's my point. If they are good enough to beat us, it doesn't matter if we play them during the regular season or in the championship. I don't think dropping them as a permanent opponent improves our chances of winning an SEC championship.

I remember LSU playing TA&M during Thanksgiving time in late 80s.

Sorry bad memory. We did not play TA&M during thanksgiving. My mistake.
