I guess you can read into Saban's comments what ever you want to. I read them as "when JR starts to do what he's told, he will start". I also infer that Saban is more comfortable with Randall's ability to execute the coaches' gameplan than he is with Russell's inability or refusal to follow the script. Ad libbing against OSU and ASU didn't create problems. That doesn't mean he can get away with it against a better team at a hostile location.

Randall had a bad 1st quarter against OSU. He has held his own after that. I think there's a lot of tunnel vision here.

Are you gonna post on here saying you were dead wrong when Randall looks like crap in the first Q against Auburn?

I sure as hell hope so.

Ivan needs to save the day for us and postpone the game. Russell will be starter by then (Nov 6th).

This implies he held his own in the 2nd Q against OSU.

    Sorry....he didn't

Randall led us to a grand total of zero points against a defense that would give up over 50 points to Boise frickin State the very next week

My bad! I thought there were 10 other guys on the field with Randall. Am I wrong? :dis:

    Sabanfan,

I just don't get how guys like you can't see that Randall just doesn't have it. Is it that you are just worried about his feelings that you won't admit this, or are you just in denial? Randall has had lots of PT on the collegiate level (including a rough SEC schedule) and still Russell looks better after just two games. Face the painfully obvious facts here, Russell is a way better talent that can score for us.

Yes there were 10 other guys. And those 10 other guys had no chance at helping us score with Randall at the helm.

    See how that works?

Yeah, it was the 10 other guys that threw into triple coverage, it was the 10 other guys that threw the ball out of bounds play after play. I like Randall as a person, but I can also see the obvious on the field.

Some people aren't as fortunate as you.
