This is where I'm at 4-0 vs OOC 2-0 vs SEC East This is where it gets tough for me. I feel that we are going to struggle against the run and with all the new QB play we will see lots of runs Teams that will run more than 50% I think we lose. Alabama Auburn Arkansas Mississippi State is my toss up game. I feel it can go either way because it's an away game an those damn cowbells. Passing teams we will beat easily Ole Miss Texas A&M So my best case scenario is 9-3 Worst case scenario is 8-4. What do you think?
For me, I expect much improved QB play, and I think our offense will finally have more balance this year because of it, so I am not as concerned about that angle as much as others are (although, I get the concern there, don't get me wrong). Our D-line play should be getting improved coaching/formation, we are just thinner on talent than in the past, but that is better than I thought it was a few weeks ago. I look at ALA and AUB as the only toss up games. I think we've got the others.
The combination of Steele & Oregon will breathe life into a stagnant D. The switch has flipped for Harris and we will be a scary balanced offense. Jennings will play efficient when needed. Will go down as the strongest team in the history of cfb, and we'll be better next year.
Quinn is the holder, trying to keep him on the field as much as possible so he won't transfer......noone cares if Jennings transfers, until Harris gets yanked or hurt. I like us going 10-2, I'm buying in on a much improved QB play.....after all I'm a true fan and realize we play in the toughest division of the toughest conference in the country. Games I think we could trip up on is Arkansas after our epic road win over Bama, and A&M scares me, we will be pretty worn down by then.....but so will they.
We'll win 10+ games with --- - A fast, suffocating defense that creates turnovers and field position. - Excellent Special Teams play where we flip field position, block an occasional kick with an electric return game - A mix-it-up (less power-I) running game: 225 yards per game or better - 57% pass completion percentage from Harris. He has all the tools. Keep the INTs low. - If we can go from the bottom-third of the league in penalties to the top 3rd - Turnover Margin. By season's end we need to be +10 or better for the year - We must stay healthy on the DLine and LB position groups - We must be strong on both sides of the ball with 3rd down conversions. If we can accomplish 6 of the 8, we'll have a shot at 10 wins and Atlanta.
