According to SI.com, LSU's roster is as follows:
    Freshmen: 54
    Sophomores: 33
    Juniors: 22
    Seniors: 11
Ones with a dash (redshirts?): 5

I think it is a given that Saban WILL LEAVE LSU, this year or in a year in the near future. Should we encourage it this year? Maybe so. With the players that we have returning, this may be the best year to make a transition. With a coaching transition usually comes a loss of recruits. I think this is one of those years where we can lose some recruits and not be hurt too much, because the team is so young already. Yes it will hurt, but not as much I think. Also, bring in the new coach while the guys are young and by their junior and senior years they are entrenched in the new system. Speculation, but food for thought....

Next year would have been better. I think a special coach such as Saban has a really decent chance at running the table, given our very favorable schedule, and winning a 2nd NC. Then I think he can ride off into the sunset. Until then, I think all LSU fans will be left with "what if"s to ponder for quite some time.
