Okay not saying that is going to happen or that I want it to happen, but it could happen.

If we lose to Fl this week and drop outta the Top 25, I feel that we don't have the teams left on the sechuleded to get us back on the list.

So my question is this when was the last time a team won the National Championship and then not finish in the Top 25 the next year.

It took a little looking, but I think it was Georgia Tech.

They split the national championship with Colorado in 1990. I didn't see them ranked in the final top 25 in either poll for 1991.

  5. No worries, we will be ranked at the end of the season.

If we lose a close game at Florida we will not fall very far out of the top 25, and by winning we would get back into the polls. We still have big name teams like Ole Miss, Bama and Arkansas who though they aren't having big years still get more rep points than a team like Troy who would probably win 2 of 3 against those teams.

  7. Not to mention a bowl game

This team is still a likely 9-2 or 8-3 team. LSU will not only finish in the top-20 with losses only to top-10 teams, but they also will go to a major bowl.

Nest year we lose only 9 seniors and perhaps 2 juniors to the NFL. And our toughest opponents are at home instead of on the road. LSU will be a pre-season Top-10 in 2005.
