Dont recall anybody posting this but just incase...check this out http://msn.foxsports.com/cfb/story/5242552 I love to see that any of the recent USC teams didnt even place in the top 10. I think that just made my horrible Monday turn better. Also check out the notes of interest...Auburn was better than USC in 2004. Also, how does Texas beating ULL equal a quality win???
They had to go back to 1930 to find a Notre Dame team to put in there. Do you honestly think that the 1930 Irish team could have stayed with the 2003 Tigers.:dis: :dis:
Old joke. I said could have. Reminds me of the time some announcer said that Ben Hogan used to cut off a 90 degree dogleg par 5 by driving over the trees...of course the trees were only 10 feet tall at the time.
They can come up with all the snazzy-looking formulas they want, but not even the 2005 Longhorns coulda touched the 95 Cornhuskers. That redshirt frosh from A&M ran all over the Texas D. Tommie Fraizer would have hit 1,000 yards rushing by halftime.
Out of the Top 25 teams listed the SEC has 6 teams included! Not a bad stat. Just goes to show that having a Tough Conference pays off! How many did the glorious PAC-10 have?????? :geauxtige
How is the 2001 Miami Hurricanes #14? They were definitely the best college football team I ever saw on any college field.
You need to read the last thing they say before listing the teams: Certain things are out of a teams control. This is purely based on the season they had against quality compitition, their margin of victory, etc. Miami could very well have been the best team to ever play, but their season was not as impressive as other seasons based on who they played, and what the scores were. My favorite part is that both Auburn and LSU scored higher than USC in their respective seasons :thumb: Not to mention the 1983 fiasco that left Auburn fans wondering how in the hell that happened. CFN has us #1 that year too.
