1. If he did, he got some terrible information. He will be this years Josh Powell if he stays in the draft.
  2. Where is he projected to go???
  3. ...if it's true, it's all about
    GREED
:dis: :dis: :dis: :dis: :dis: :dis: :dis:
Alright, let the "he's a poor kid whose family needs the money and he wouldn't get a degree anyway" crowd come out and call me out on my comment above, like they did when I called Michael Williams greedy.

Today's player, despite the skill level: "It's all about what's in it for me"

So 1 guy out of 10 might make it, what happens to the 9 others that fall by the wayside because of this rush to turn pro?????

It sounds like Bass got some POOR advice, and wasn't strong enough to resist the pull of GREED.

Just like Micheal Williams. GIMME GIMME GIMME NOW!

Oh no, that's right - Bass is an LSU guy - I'm not supposed to be consistant if he was one of ours:
"You wouldn't think that he was greedy if he was an LSU guy"

Oh yeah? This is as dumb as Big Baby considering the draft.

If it's true that he's signed with an agent then see ya later Brandon.

You'll be in Europe before you know it.

    To rephrase an old adage:

"Greed corrupts. Absolute greed corrupts absolutely."
  4. It is a rumor however.

So no need to get all bothered over this just yet. I do agree with most of what you said however.
  5. I personally think it's more of a case of bad advice than greed. There isn't a person here who wouldn't have dropped out of college for a job that pays what NBA players make. More than likely someone told Brandon he would go alot higher than he will, and more than likely he's stupid enough to believe them.

Oh well I hope everything works out for him.
  6. Yeah but from an agent's standpoint this doesn't make that much sense either. He gets a cut from what Bass will make. Well if Bass makes the minimum or doesn't even make the NBA at all which is definitely possible, then the agent is SOL. So why lie to a kid and tell him he will be higher in the draft than you actually think he will be. Makes no sense to me.

I guess the agent figures if I can get enough of these diamonds in the rough as part of my clientele, then one of them will blossom and I will be rich later on because of it.
  7. kind of sucks that there arent more restrictions on who can and can't be an agent.
  8. Totally agree with you there.
  9. I don't think it's true personally. He isn't going unless he gets a first round guarantee.
