...besides Russell Shepard :miles: As we saw last year, several freshmen in the league were able to step up and make an immediate impact (Bama and UGA come to mind). Who among our freshmen (true and RS) do you think could make a difference in the upcoming season?
Loston will have an impact. Literally. :hihi: Sorry, I'm a little punch drunk...a month of 10 to 12 hour work days will do that to a person...
Listing them from most significant impact: 1. Shepard 2. Randle 3. Allen 4. Hicks 5. Minter 6. Loston 7. Calhoun 8. Davenport
I was starting to wonder if they'll let Scott/Ridley handle the FB position and RS Dominique Allen.. Doesn't seem like a bad idea. Of course neither of them have the size that Allen has.. but they're both bruisers.
Yes to Shepard, Allen & Hicks - with Loston & Randle getting some PT, but not as much as those 3. Minter is a possibility, he's got the talent - but my guess is he redshirts. Calhoun & Davenport?? Why...? I'm not seeing it. Add Helton at Punter. As for redshirt freshmen: Tyler Edwards at H-Back, Cordian Hagans on the DL (or possibly Clement/Lavar Edwards), Tim Molton at WR, PJ Lonergan at Center - assuming T-Bob isn't in full health by Spring. Out of all the freshmen, I believe Tim Molton will make the biggest impact, with Shepard 2nd.
Ridley didn't work out at FB. Scott will likely line up there some, but Dominique is a pure FB. The opportunity is there for him to be a major contributor. It all depends on how fast he learns the system (shouldn't be hard for a FB) & what kind of conditioning he's in when he shows up.
