Other than Perrilloux, are there any other true freshmen with a legitimate shot at playing time this year?

Ricky Jean-Francois not only passes on the shirt, but he plays and contributes a ton and he breaks an opponent's neck by season's end.

Bank it - I hear insane things about this kid and how prepared he is to play college football in the SEC...

I think that RP, Jean-Francois, Al Jones, and Korte will definetely all play this year. I think Darry Beckwith has a shot too, but not as good as the others.

What with our lack of depth at wide reciever, there is no reason Brandon Lafell doesn't get tons of playing time.:thumb:

Korte plays with SO much passion, but I just don't see him hitting the field this year... Hope I am wrong

Well of course I am joking. Notice the little guy with the wink and the thumbs up. We probably have the most talented group of wide recievers in the nation although we don't have a for sure "go to" guy. That is probably more of a product of having too many talented people. However, I think Ohio State comes pretty close to us on recieving talent with Santonio Holmes and Teddy Ginn. We have a lot of "if's". If skyler green can stay healthy...if Amp Hill can come back 100%...if Xavier and Early can develop into what we all thought/think they will become. With all that being said, I wouldn't trade our wide reciever corps for any in the country.

I know there was alot of talk during the recruiting season about RP not redshirthing his frosh year.... With that being said, I would be shocked if he gets any playing time this year. I think JR will play with confidence and lead LSU to to their 3rd SEC title in 5 seasons. Matt Flynn will be the back up........
