I'm going to fry a Turkey this Thanksgiving and would like to hear some of your marination techniques. I don't need to know how to fry it (i.e. types of oil, etc) unless it's part of the recipe and adds to the flavor somehow. My in-laws have a recipe they want me to use, but I would rather try something new that we haven't done in the past.

If you only use a store bought cajun injector let me know which one. If you've tried some that suck let me know too.

    Much appreciated.

    Peanut oil

Inject the turkey with Creole Butter marinade and coat with dry seasonings.

Fry 3 mins for every pound.

I really like the Tony's Creole Butter Injector. I used it once for a turkey last year and it was awesome. Was going to try another flavor this but our Turkey day plans have changed...maybe for Christmas.

Oh...forgot about the rub on the outside...tony's will also work for that. I really do not think much of it even stays on once its put in 350 degree oil anyways.

I use the Tony's Creole Butter Injector on our pork tenderloin every Christmas day. It's excellent.

We're purchasing a fried turkey from a Cajun catering company up here in DFW for Thanksgiving.

So far you have rub in Tony's and inject with creole butter. Any questions?

 Since I only use it once a year and store it indoors, that seems like overkill. Or maybe I'll just start injecting everything.
